Our Tree at Ancestry.com
Our family tree at Ancestry.com is a “skeleton” version of our family tree. We keep a separate and more robust collection of facts and information with a local PC-based tree program. We have information on about 900 related individuals.
Please be aware that Ancestry will require you to create a free account before allowing you to view our tree. Ancestry is not very forthcoming that a “free” account is possible. Ancestry will ask you sign up for a “trial,” and present you with membership options for a monthly fee. And you’ll get promotional emails until you opt out.
Our tree at Ancestry.com generally only includes our ancestors who are not living, and various descendants of those ancestors, who are also not living. So, for example, Ed’s deceased aunts and uncles are shown, but living aunts and uncles are not. If any of Ed and Amy’s family are interested in family information, we’re happy to share directly with you. Also, our tree at Ancestry.com generally only shows the dates of birth and death. If you notice that you are not shown on the tree, and you are OK with your name appearing, please contact Ed or Amy. And if you find that we’ve accidentally included you or some other living relative, and you do not want to appear, please let Ed or Amy know so we can remove your listing.

Ed suggests that you buy one of the many good PC based programs (Ed uses "Family Historian.") Why not use an online service, like Ancestry.com? You may NOT want to loose control of the privacy and ownership of information you worked hard to collect. For example, even if a whole tree on Ancestry.com is marked “private,” the data becomes the property of Ancestry.com, and they are free to distribute it.
